As the world is about to enter the 21st century, as East-West culture further converges, the China Academy of Art named three prominent Western contemporary artists as visiting professors in the Oil Painting Department. They are artist Avgdor Arikha, sculptor Ragmond Masoh and Henri Cartier-Bresson, the “father of photography” in the world of photography. These three artists have enjoyed a good reputation in today’s world and are very interested in the arts and their education in China. They have drawn great attention.
