中学八、九年级近代史课程研究的是资本主义社会的历史。马克思和恩格斯发现了作为资本主义掘墓者和共产主义社会创造者的无产阶级的世界历史作用。无产阶级的出现和发展壮大是人类社会历史上的重要一页,历史科学应该首先对它加以注意。对无产阶级在资本主义社会里的状况和无产阶级的阶级斗争进行详细的研究,是马克思和恩格斯制定科学共产主义理论的出发点。教师在说明无产阶级在资本主义社会中的政治地位和经济状况的时候,应该告诉学生:无产阶级不仅仅是一个受苦的阶级,他同时也是一个为谋求自身解放而斗争的阶级。正如列宁所教导,战斗着的无产阶级能够“自已援助自己”。高年级学生应该对工人阶级和工人运动的各种组织形式以及对工人运动从破坏机器到为建立无产阶级
The eighth and ninth grade modern history curriculum is the history of capitalist society.
