一七十年前的1937年,正是日寇大肆侵华、我国大难临头、全民觉醒、救亡图存之际。我正由17岁迈向18岁,处在国破家亡、历经坎坷、夙慕我党、投奔革命之秋。我少年受过长辈革命启蒙;西安事变和七·七抗战,震动全国。我在南京、武汉日机狂轰滥炸之下,由导师引导,在党领导下投入了抗日救亡热潮。抱着必死的决心,义无反顾,由长江沿岸奔赴华北前线,先在山西临汾我军前线总司令部直属炮兵团参军。不久奉调到驻扎在附近洪洞县白石村的随营学校接受军政培训,见到了校长韦国清同志。
