Sound equalizers generally require second-order band-pass filters. Such a unit needs to be able to adjust its parameters simply and independently: the center frequency ω0, the quality factor Q, and the maximum bandpass gain k. To use cells with independent regulation capability, a variable state topology is required. However, this structure generally requires a minimum of three op amps. An alternative is based on the use of a SAB (Quadrature Power Amplifier) filter. These cells implement a second-order band-pass filter, but have two masters
