2014年3月,在中法两国元首见证下,中法双方签署《关于在武汉市建设中法武汉生态示范城意向书》,约定在武汉蔡甸后官湖,打造一座后工业化时代城市可持续发展生态示范城。今年11月10日,在武汉市蔡甸区结束的第二届中法城市可持续发展论坛上,由中法专家组创新编制的《中法武汉生态示范城总体规划》正式出炉,明确到2020年,中法生态城将成为武汉西部占地120平方公里、就业人口50万的智慧创意产业中心,与武汉三镇东部的中国光谷交相辉映。
In March 2014, witnessed by the heads of state of China and France, both China and France signed the “Letter of Intent on Building a Sino-French Wuhan Eco-Demonstration City in Wuhan City” and agreed to establish a post-industrial era urban sustainable development in Hougang, Caoyuan, Wuhan Ecological model city. On November 10 this year, the “Sino-French Wuhan Ecological Demonstration Town Master Plan”, compiled by the expert group of China and France, was formally released at the 2nd China-France Urban Sustainable Development Forum which ended in Caidian District in Wuhan. By 2020, , Sino-French Eco-City will become the center of intellectual and creative industries covering an area of 120 square kilometers and a working population of 500,000 in western Wuhan, and will make its way into the optical valley of China in the eastern part of the three towns of Wuhan.
