今天,在总人口约5500万的法国,有1840万独居者。其中:1010万单身妇女(580万未婚,320万寡妇和110万离婚者);830万单身男子(680万未婚,64万鳏夫和83万离婚者)。根据法国国家人口统计研究所1988年3月提供的数据,上述这些独居者中,有大约100万抚养着一个或几个孩子的单身妇女;15万带着孩子过活的单身男人。年纪在40岁以上的独居妇女有480万,独居男子200万。法国国家人口统计研究所1982年发表的《法国人在2000年》的论文表明,从现在起到2000年,独居者数量上升的速率是家庭数量增长速率的2.5倍。
Today, there are 18.4 million people living alone in France, with a total population of about 55 million. Of these: 10.1 million single women (5.8 million unmarried, 3.2 million widows and 1.1 million divorced); and 8.3 million single men (6.8 million unmarried, 640,000 widowers and 830,000 divorced). According to data provided by the French National Institute of Demography in March 1988, among the above-mentioned singletons, there are about 1 million single women raising one or more children and 150,000 single men living with their children. There are 4.8 million single-aged women 40 years of age and 2 million men live alone. The French “French in 2000” paper, published in 1982, shows that between now and 2000, the number of singletons has risen 2.5 times the rate of growth in the number of families.
