The year 2005 is the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese nation in the War of Resistance against Japan and it is also the 60th anniversary of the recovery of Taiwan by the Chinese government (ie, the Nationalist Government). On October 25, 1945, Taiwan, which had been a colony for half a century, has finally returned to the embrace of the motherland. This is a major event with profound historical significance. However, this major historical event has not been mentioned in the current high school history textbooks, and related teaching reference books are rarely involved. On the basis of extensive review, the author combed relevant archives and data, and invaded Japan and Taiwan’s colonial rule, Taiwan’s people’s various forms.
