这话说出来大概不受听。我觉得,近年来的话剧创作在成绩斐然下存在着一种隐忧,姑且名之曰:思想的失重。这是就整体水平而言的,并不意味着对某些作品的褒贬,也不是针对某种具体的类型来要求(例如娱乐型的通俗笑剧)。也许有人会指责我危言耸听。因为近年来佳作迭出,象《狗儿爷涅槃》、《洒满月光的荒原》、《桑树坪纪事》、《黑色的石头》,以至近日的《天下第一楼》等,在表现人性和时代精神上都有了重大突破,有人还称之为跃上了生命意识的层面,在高层次上回归了戏剧文学的本体。
