白地黑绘(亦称白地黑花)是磁州窑最具特色的装饰方法。它将中国传统书法、绘画技法与制瓷工艺相结合,创造了新的综合艺术,开拓了陶瓷美学的新境界,取得了举世公认的辉煌成就。这一装饰技法在宋代书法、绘画艺术繁荣和普及的基础上应运而生,受到文人书画的影响而成熟、发展起来。正是文人书画家的广泛参与,提升了磁州窑艺术的高度,开拓了磁州窑文化的深度。同时,它又以多方面的创造及广泛传播,深刻影响和促进了中国彩绘瓷器及文人书画的发展。
White painted black (also known as white ground black flowers) is the most distinctive Cizhou decoration method. It combines the traditional Chinese calligraphy, painting techniques and porcelain craft, creating a new integrated art, has opened up a new realm of ceramic aesthetics, has achieved world-renowned brilliant achievements. This decorative technique came into being on the basis of the flourishing and popularization of calligraphy and painting art in the Song Dynasty.
