上海市文化局和中国戏剧家协会上海分会联合举办的通俗话剧和滑稽戏会演,已于本月八日起在上海举行。通俗话剧,即过去的“文明戏”,也就是今天话剧的前身。从有文明戏以来,至今已有五十年左右的历史。这个剧种的特点是能及时反映现实,并以极通俗的表现手法,使广大观众易于接受。滑稽戏脱胎于通俗话剧,它的特点是以“滑稽”、“讽刺”为主要内容与表现手段。它继承了文明戏“通俗”
