Ascend Communications recently introduced two new MAX4048 and MAX4060 products. Both compact, high-density WAN access switches integrate high-performance digital modems, routers, and remote access servers. Small and medium-sized ISPs are now able to take advantage of the MAX4048 or 4060 to create new network infrastructures or enhance their existing network infrastructures and benefit from this architecture to meet future requirements. With Ascend’s add-on remote networking software, the MAX4048 and 4060 are well suited to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses and businesses that implement remote networking solutions.
