霍山茶叶批发市场是1996年4月由霍山县政府出资 1400万元建成的,2001年被农业部确定为第七批农产品定点批发市场,经过近几年超常规发展,霍山茶叶批发市场已初步发挥了区域性带动作用。2003年,霍山县政府通过招商引资2亿元,兴建中国大别山绿色商城,一期工程占地116 亩为新茶叶批发市场,2004年4月投入使用。新茶叶批发市场拥有400个高档商铺,3000平方米的自由交易大厅,8000 平方米仓储,停车场、电子商务等配套齐全。
