2015年12月16日上午,大报恩寺遗址公园开园盛典在江苏南京中华门外的大报恩寺遗址公园举行。这是继释迦牟尼佛顶骨舍利供奉大典后,中国佛教界的又一盛事。2007年南京市委市政府启动了大报恩寺项目重建工作,并开始为期四年的考古发掘。2008年在大报恩寺前身的长干寺地宫,出土了“七宝阿育王塔”等一大批国家级文物与佛教圣物,2010年“佛顶真骨”“感应舍利”“诸圣舍利”盛世重光,震惊华人世界和佛教界。大报恩寺
