The’Chuju’(楚居),one of the bamboo-slip manuscripts from the Warring States Period kept in the Tsinghua University Library,provides extensive information about the Chu royal dynasty.The’Chuju’(楚居) acknowledges Jilian(季連),who adopted the same of Mi (芈),as the founder of the Chu state.However,Jilian is not included among the’Three Ancestors of Chu’(san Chu xian,三楚先),i.e.Laotong (老童) Zhurong (祝融),and Yuxiong (鬻熊) — also known as Xuexiong (穴熊) — who were jointly invoked and offeredsacrifices during the Warring State Period.
