The micromorphology of the late Quaternary loess and ancient soils in Xifeng, Luochuan and Weinan shows that many morphological characteristics have a good indication of vegetation and soil moisture status, and should be used as a sign of environmental amplitude study and comparison of climatic events . The changes in different sections reflect the spatial pattern of paleoenvironment. Loess from 130 ka recorded at least 16 climate events, some of which were orbital events and the other were related to Heinrich events of non-orbital origin. During the latter event, vegetation on the Loess Plateau is sparse, with strong wind power and weak local freeze-thaw action, while there are considerable grassland vegetation in the middle and east of the plateau.
