In Mannheim, Germany, a new 632 series diesel engine that will play a prominent role in the Deutz MWM engine program for the next 20 years is under development. This series of engines was developed on the basis of a successful 628 series engine that has sold over 1,500 units over the past 10 years. It has a bore of 240mm and a stroke of 320mm. Its standard performance engine is expected to have a continuous output of 265kW / cylinder at 900 and 1000r / min; its high-performance engine (V-only for high-speed marine applications) is expected to have an initial output of 350kW / cylinder at 1200r / min.
