仙游县共有人口105万,其中实有劳动力60万多,劳务经济成为该县增加农民收入的捷径。去年下半年以来,由于受国际金融危机和经济衰退影响,珠三角地区企业用工量减少,导致该县相当部分返乡农民工滞留在家。根据调查统计显示,截至2月13日,全县未再外出就业而滞留县内的返乡农民工共有8642人。仙游县委、县政府对此高度重视,按照“促就业,保稳定”的工作理念,强化领导,构建起了政府搭台、劳动保障部门牵头、乡镇主抓的格局,多措并举,大力促进,确保返乡滞留农民工有业可就,有力地维护了社会的和谐稳定。
