Taiwan Pacific Wire & Cable Corporation was founded in 1950 to produce bare copper wire, aluminum cable, fiber optic cable communication cable, power cable and other products. In 1987, after the company was led by Sun Daicun, the second-generation entrepreneur, it accelerated the pace of diversification and internationalization. Not only was the operating performance not affected, but the company achieved new breakthroughs in the increasingly fierce competition. In the past three years, the company’s annual turnover has exceeded NT$12 billion, and in 1993 it ranked among the top 1,000 private enterprises in Taiwan.
