近日,ARL和诸多美国科技公司、行业协会以及民间社会组织一起,试图推出Re:Create联盟,以促进平衡版权政策的建立。一个平衡的版权体系既要有限制也要有例外,比如合理使用。随着技术的发展,当务之急是版权法要考虑到这些变化,平衡版权信息和产品创造者的利益与这些产品用户的利益。Re:Create致力于促进和维护版权的平衡。ARL的成员机构以及广大的社会公众都需要既包括强大的限制又包含例外的平衡版权。一个平衡的系统能确保版权不限制不阻碍新的有价值的技术和应用。
Recently, ARL and many U.S. technology companies, industry associations and civil society organizations are trying to launch the Re: Create alliance to promote the establishment of a balanced copyright policy. A balanced copyright system requires both limitations and exceptions, such as fair use. With the development of technology, it is imperative that Copyright Law take these changes into consideration, balancing the interests of copyright holders and product creators with the interests of users of these products. Re: Create is committed to promoting and safeguarding the balance of copyright. ARL member institutions and the general public need balance-based copyright that includes both strong and exceptional exceptions. A balanced system ensures that copyright restrictions do not hinder new, valuable technologies and applications.
