人类在环境与发展问题上始终面临着严峻的挑战。今年8月26日至9月4日,联合国在南非约翰内斯堡举行了可持续发展世界首脑会议(简称WSSD)。国际、地区和各专业评估机构认为自1992年联合国环境与发展大会以来,是经济全球化发展最迅速的10年,但人类在可持续发展问题上所面临的挑战却更为严峻。人们已认识到:人类要生存和发展就必须走可持续发展之路。
Humans have always faced severe challenges in environment and development issues. From August 26 to September 4 this year, the United Nations held the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) in Johannesburg, South Africa. The international, regional and professional assessment bodies believe that since the 1992 UN Conference on Environment and Development was the fastest-growing 10 years of economic globalization, the challenges facing human beings on the issue of sustainable development are even more severe. People have realized that human beings must take the road of sustainable development in order to survive and develop.
