初冬的小东江多雾。每当日斜将沉之际,东江的水面温度骤然升降,形成较大的温差,水汽就在这段狭长的河谷间蒸腾。霞光撒满湖面,呈现一派泽国水乡、渔舟唱晚的绚丽景象。正如唐朝诗人李瑞的《东江渡》所咏:“银潢一泻绕东流,野色微茫欲泊头,茅店鸡声人渡月,霞光渔唱柳横舟。”这条约12公里长的峡谷,缠绕在湖南郴州的峻岭之间,有着丰富的自然山水风光和独特的人文景观。其81.2亿立方米的储水量,相当于半个洞庭湖,因此又被誉为“湘南洞庭”。

Its 8.12 billion cubic meters of water storage, equivalent to half a Dongting Lake, it is also known as ”Southern Hunan Dongting ".
