炉渣灰也叫焦渣、渣子、炉灰渣,用它作农房打顶,是一种多功能的平顶屋面。它兼有防水、保温、夏季乘凉、秋季晒粮、冬季囤粮柴等用途。这种屋顶,冀东地区的农房应用极为普遍。就材料和工艺来说,它实际上是一种石灰轻质混凝土。一般三间农房需用石灰1.5吨,炉渣灰6立方米。为增强炉渣灰面层的防水、防冻性能和光洁度,一般要加用两袋水泥。
