Based on ecofeminism,two works,namely,Tess of the D’Urbervilles and The Border Town are analysed due to their similarities.Through the analysis,we found that they are similar in three aspects—both of them use plenty of space to describe the beauty of nature;the two authors Thomas Hardyband Shen Congwen,think there are close relationship between nature and women;both writers fantasy to create a society where nature and man harmoniously coexist.
