In recent years, researches in aerobic capacity and VO2max are very active, but a systematic study is lacking from the mechanism to the application. To several degrees and from different ways the physiological factors affecting the maximal aerobic capacity and the application of the maximal oxygen uptake in sports training were studied.The results. indicated that the value on treadmill was the largest,followed by bicycle ergometer test and then step test ;endurance training could improve the level of aerobic capacity, particularly ILAT and thb utilization ratio of maximal oxygen uptake. Nodifference existed in maximal oxygen uptake between the white, yellow and black race. In exhausting exercise, the mitochondria calcium cumulation inhibited the respiration of cells and deteriorated the aerobic capacity. So this study could provide scientific basis for sports training.Effects of exercise pattern on VO2max 59 normal male students wererandomly assigned to stationary treadmill,sitting bicycle ergometer,suping bicycle ergometer, bicycle ergometer with hands and step testof different altitude (22in. 15in. 12in). From the results, we foundthat the VO2max were different by using different work load,withsta tionary treadmill the highest, bicycle ergometer, the second, andthe step test the lowest. So we should consider the effects of different work load when testing VO2max.VO2max and individual ventilatory threshold study on different training level subjects. Ten master sportsmen, 10 first - level athletes, 10 second - levelathletes and 21 male students adopted bicycle ergometer which increased the work loads measuring VO2max and ILAT of the subjects. We found that the ventilation thresho1d, pulmonary ventilation and oxygen of heart rate in subjects of different levels were significantly different.Maximal aerobic capacity comparison among different racial male college students. Sixty-one male students of different races were chosen including the yellow (n= 21), the white (n= 20), the black n= 20). The results were:the absolute value of VO2max in the black was higher than that of the yellow. The difference of VO2max indifferent races was not significant,the relative value of VO2max could explain the question better.Effects of exercise - induced mitochondrion calcium accumulation on cell respirafory function Sixty -eight SD male rats were randomly assigned to control group (n= 12), exercise group (n= 36) and endurance group (n= 12).We found that the concentration of mitochondrion calcium after exercise changed significantly and the ATP production after exercise immediately decreased (p<0. 01). The results showed that mitochondrion calcium accumulation reduced the production of ATP, and that endurance training cou1d not only reduce mitochondrion calcium accumulation of ex ercise, and improve respiratory ldvel of cells, but might be one of the important mechanisms to increase aerobic capacity as well.
