Inner-party supervision is an important issue for party building in the new period. Our party has always attached great importance to intra-party supervision. The “Decision” of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 14th Central Committee once again proposed that we should strengthen and improve the supervision within our party and show the importance and urgency of resolving this issue. To implement the spirit of the plenum, we must first of all deepen the understanding of the essence of inner-party supervision. The “decision” of the plenum pointed out: “The essence of inner-party supervision is that the party, starting from the interests of the people, must exercise self-restraint and self-improvement in accordance with the requirements of being strictly party-ruled.” Here, I think we should grasp three points. First, inner-party supervision is the party’s self
