观察71例非胰岛素依赖型糖尿病患者（NIDDM）及25例正常人血浆内皮素水平变化结果表明：糖尿病患者血浆内皮素水平较正常人明显增高（P＜0．05），血浆内皮素水平升高者血管并发症亦多。提示在一定程度上血浆内皮素水平可反应内皮细胞损伤程度，可作为早期诊断糖尿病并发症指标之一，但血浆内皮素水平在糖尿病及合并多种血管病变中的重要作用还有待探讨。
