《了不起的盖茨比》是新世纪以来美国文学研究的一个热点。小说通过盖茨比追寻自己旧爱的故事,展现了盖茨寻求自我身份认同的艰辛历程。本文试图从双重叙事的视角,抓住盖茨比寻爱的显性叙事与身份认同的隐性叙事,来探寻盖茨比在身份认同之路上的求索与最终失败。
“The Great Gatsby” is a hot spot in the study of American literature in the new century. The novel follows Gatsby through the story of his old love, showing Gates’s quest for self-identity. This article attempts to explore Gatsby’s quest and ultimate failure on the road of identity from the double narrative perspective and the implicit narration of Gatsby’s dominant narrative and identity.
