在新课程改革的现阶段,如何稳步提高初中英语教育教学质量,是一个十分艰巨的任务;同时,也是摆在广大英语教师面前的一个棘手的问题。造成这种现象的原因很多,主要有教师和学生的原因。许多小学开设英语课有名无实,到了中学,上英语课的老师要从零做起,但课程进度又跟不上,有时,顾得了这头,又顾不上那头。上仔细了,完不成教学任务。上快了,教师手忙脚乱,学生摸不着头脑,大家都乱了阵脚,久而久之,学生兴趣全无,教师也全无兴趣。有些教师在课堂上只顾完成教学任务,没有从“精讲多练,善导自学,激发兴趣,师生和谐”上下功夫,上课这总是千篇一律,照本宣科,不能有效调动学生的学习积极性,不能激发学生的学习兴趣。
