吉水县金滩小学有一位属于“小”字辈的青年教师,名叫曾小炼,他执教只有短短两年,就以出色的工作成绩在教师队伍中崭露头角。1984年,他光荣地被评为省优秀班主任,出席了省优秀班主任表彰大会。他所教的四(2)班也被评为吉安地区文明班级。人们热情赞扬曾小炼是一位具有教育艺术细胞的新人。曾小炼出生在一个“教师之家”。父母亲都是在平凡的小教岗位上奋斗了二、三十年的老教师。老一辈人兢兢业业、勤勤恳恳的工作态度,刻苦好学、严谨治教的可贵精神,从小给了他良好的熏陶。至今,他还能背诵父母合写的一首诗《小桥》:
