白花水蜜桃是我国南方系水蜜桃品种群的主要品种之一,江苏无锡水蜜桃的代表品种。树势较旺,树姿开张、果形大,1斤约有3～4个,外观艳丽,果肉柔软多汁,纤维少,甜味浓,品质优,深受消费者欢迎,是一个优良的生食品种。肉带韧性,加之果皮厚韧,耐贮运能力较强。长期以来在苏南、苏北沿江地区、上海市郊广为栽培,成为中晚熟桃的主栽品种。该品种由于开花期迟,有利于避开晚霜的危害而获得丰产。
