A study in the United States shows that the ideal BP for patients with chronic kidney disease appears to be 130-159 mmHg / 70-89 mmHg. For adults with chronic kidney disease, lowering diastolic blood pressure below the ideal range and achieving optimal systolic blood pressure may not be beneficial to the patient. The study was published August 20 in Ann Intern Med 2013, 159: 233. The study included 651,749 U.S. veterans with chronic kidney disease from 2005 to 2012, with a median age of 73.8 years. The results showed that patients with chronic kidney disease with systolic blood pressure of 130-159 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of 70-89 mmHg had the lowest post-mortem mortality rate, while those with systolic and diastolic blood pressure were very high or at the same time very low Highest mortality rate. With systolic pressure within the ideal range but with diastolic blood pressure below 70 mmHg
