欣闻广东外语外贸大学钱冠连先生七十五大寿,谨在京致以遥远的问候和祝贺!冠连先生以他的四本专著:《美学语言学》(1993)、《汉语文化语用学》(1997/2002)、《语言全息论》(2002)和《语言:人类最后的家园》(2005),以及百余篇具有理论深度和创新意义的学术论文,在我国语言学界和外语界素享盛誉。我个人比冠连先生虚长6岁,但在做学问上差了一截。扪心自问,自愧不如。借此机会,与冠连先生交交心。
I am pleased to hear that Mr. Qian Guanlian of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies has extended his greetings and congratulations on the occasion of his 75th birthday. With his four monographs: Aesthetic Linguistics (1993), Chinese Cultural Pragmatics (1997/2002), “Language Holography” (2002) and “Language: The Last Habitat of Mankind” (2005), as well as over a hundred academic papers with theoretical depth and innovative significance. In our linguistic and linguistic circles Su enjoy the reputation. I am 6 years older than Mr. Guan, but I was a poor academic. Ask yourself, feel ashamed. Take this opportunity to pay the heart of Mr. Guanlian.
