2016年2月18日上午,中国远洋海运集团有限公司成立大会在上海世博中心召开,标志着中国远洋海运集团有限公司(以下简称中国远洋海运集团或集团)正式宣告成立,许立荣任董事长、党组书记,万敏任总经理、党组副书记,集团总部设在上海。大会由集团总经理万敏主持,国务院国资委、交通运输部及上海市政府领导出席成立大会。国务委员、国务院党组成员王勇发来贺信,中国远洋海运集团董事长许立荣,国务院国资委党委副书记、副主任张喜武,交通运输部副部长何建中,上海市委副书记、市长杨雄依次发言。
