内皮素(ｅｎｄｏｔｈｅｌｉｎ,ＥＴ)是1988年由日本学者首次从猪主动脉内皮细胞中分离出的一种含有21个氨基酸的血管活性肽,是目前所知的最强的血管收缩因子。血管内皮细胞和神经组织均可产生和释放ＥＴ,而且在血管平滑肌细胞、神经元及神经胶质细胞上均有ＥＴ特异性结合位点。
Endothelin (ET) is a 21 amino acid vasoactive peptide isolated from porcine aortic endothelial cells for the first time by a Japanese scholar in 1988 and is the strongest vasoconstrictor known to date. Endothelial cells and nerve tissue can produce and release ET, but also have ET-specific binding sites on vascular smooth muscle cells, neurons and glial cells.
