新秀2号菜豆是由国内外四个不同品种作复式双杂交后,通过单株选择并经多次混合筛选而育成。具有早熟、丰产.抗锈病等特点。植株蔓生,高250～300厘米,茎粗壮,绿色,一般分枝2～3条,主蔓可达25节左右。叶淡绿色。白花,每序有花6～8朵。第一花序着生在2～3节上,每花序可结荚2～4个,单株结荚3O～40个。嫩荚绿色,近圆形,稍弯曲,长18～20厘米,粗0.9～1.0
