汉字与西方各种拼音文字是两种迥然相异的文字体系,对中国文化与西方文化之差异理应有更大的影响过去对此甚少研究。笔者有意对此领域进行一些尝试性的探讨。 两种文字体系的差异 西方现代语言学鼻祖索绪尔《普通语言学教程》中明确地指出:当代世界通行的文字“只有两种文字的体系:(1)表意(文字)体系……例子就是汉字。(2)通常所说的“表音”(文字)体系……以希腊字母为原始型的体系。”
Chinese characters and various kinds of phonetic scripts in the West are two very different writing systems, which should have a greater impact on the differences between Chinese and Western cultures. I intend to make some tentative discussions in this area. Differences between the two literal systems The Saudisseau, the originator of Western modern linguistics, clearly states in the “General Linguistics Course” that there is only a two-letter system in the contemporary world: (1) ideographic system ... Chinese characters. (2) The so-called “phonetic” (literal) system ... a system of primitive Greek letters. "
