和许多普通人一样,管理者也有多种心理需要,如自我实现需要、归属与爱的需要、权力需要、自我管理需要等等。其中,对管理者来说,权力需要是一种特别重要的心理需要。所谓权力需要是一种要控制他人、承担责任、影响他人而又不受他人影响的需要。换句话说,权力需要是让他人接受某种观点,成为历属群体的领导者,被别人看成是领导者,被选举或任命为委员会的主席,为群体做决策,解决人们之间的纠纷或争论,说服或影响他人去做你想他做的事,监督并指导他人的工作等等。简言之,权力需要是指某个人希望其他人按照他的某种意图或期望行动的一种需要。
Like many ordinary people, managers also have a variety of psychological needs, such as self-actualization needs, attribution and love needs, power needs, self-management needs, and so on. Among them, power needs are a particularly important psychological need for managers. The so-called power need is a need to control others, take responsibility, and influence others without being affected by others. In other words, the need for power is to allow others to accept a certain point of view, to be the leader of an affiliate group, to be seen as a leader by others, to be elected or appointed as chairman of the committee, to make decisions for the group, and to resolve disputes among people. Or arguing, persuading or influencing others to do what you want him to do, supervise and guide the work of others, and so on. In short, power need is a need for someone to want others to act in accordance with some of his intentions or expectations.
