经碘液染色测定Wh921雄性不育度达98%左右,柱头活力测定和人工授粉结荚率测定,不育株雌性可育性正常,但略逊于同胞可育株;自然授粉后代育性分离结果表明,Wh921不育性受单隐性核基因控制。不育株与6个品种测交,籽粒产量超亲优势达40%;分枝数优势>茎粗>主茎节数>株高;单株荚数优势>单株粒重>百粒重。
The male sterility of Wh921 was determined by iodine staining. The male sterility of Wh921 was about 98%. The stigma activity and the rate of podding by artificial pollination were determined. The fertility of sterile plants was normal but slightly lower than that of sib-fertile ones. The results showed that the sterility of Wh921 was controlled by a single recessive nuclear gene. The sterile plants were crossed with 6 cultivars, and the super-pro-dominant grain yield reached 40%. The number of branches was superior to that of stems and stems. The number of main stems per plant was more than that of single plant.
