In support of the demonstration project, the IAEA is developing through its Nuclear Safety Division guidance documents covering important aspects of nuclear safety. Some documents have been published and others are being prepared (currently in draft form). They include: ■ Organization and implementation of national infrastructure to guide the protection of ionizing radiation and the safety of radiation sources (TECDOC-1067, February 1999). It addresses infrastructure related to the protection and safety of radiation sources used in medicine, agriculture, research, industry and education.
