群众路线是中国共产党长期革命和建设经验的总结,是党的科学的工作方法和领导方法,是历史唯物主义的生动体现,是推动党的执政能力建设的根本动力。我们党的最大政治优势是密切联系群众,党执政后的最大危险是脱离群众。保持党同人民群众的血肉联系,是加强党的执政能力建设的核心。党要不断加强执政能力建设以经受住长期执政的考验,就必须始终坚持群众路线。
The mass line is the conclusion of the CPC’s long-term revolution and construction experience, as well as the party’s scientific methods of work and methods of leadership. It is a vivid manifestation of historical materialism and a fundamental driving force for promoting the party’s ability to govern. The greatest political advantage of our party is to keep in close contact with the masses. The greatest danger the party faces after taking power is that it is divorced from the masses. Maintaining the flesh-and-blood ties between the party and the masses of the people is the core of strengthening the party’s ability to govern. To continuously strengthen the construction of governance capability so as to withstand the test of long-term ruling power, the party must always adhere to the mass line.
