中国共产党优秀党员,久经考验的共产主义战士,著名宣传活动家、翻译家、原中央广播事业局局长、党组书记,中国社会科学院原党组第一书记梅益同志因病于9月13日在北京走完人生90岁的旅程。遗体送别仪式于9月25目上午在八宝山革命公墓大礼堂举行,中国人大常委会副委员长李铁映等参加。 梅益同志曾较长期担任中央广播事业局的主要领导工作。1949年新中国成立后至“文革”前,梅益同志先后任中央广播事业局副局长、局长,党组书记,为普及发展我国的广播、电视事业做了大量的工作。在搞好对内广播宣传工作的同时,他积极建立对外广播电台,发展对外广播事业,扩大中国在世界的影响。
The outstanding member of the Communist Party of China, the well-tested communist fighter, famous propaganda activist, translator, former director of the Central Broadcasting Bureau, party secretary and former secretary of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the first party member Mei Yi due to illness on September 13 at Beijing walked the 90-year-old journey of life. Funeral ceremony was held on September 25 at the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery Auditorium, and Li Tieying, vice chairman of the Chinese NPC Standing Committee, attended the ceremony. Comrade Mei Yi has served as the chief director of the Central Broadcasting Bureau for a relatively long time. Before the founding of new China in 1949 to the “Cultural Revolution”, Comrade Mei Yi served successively as the deputy director, director and party secretary of the Central Broadcasting Administration, and has done a great deal of work in popularizing the radio and television industries in our country. While doing a good job in promoting domestic radio and broadcasting, he has actively established foreign radio stations, developed the external broadcasting business and expanded China’s influence in the world.
