(January 20, 2014) According to statistics released by the Brazilian Customs, the total amount of plastic products imported and exported in Brazil amounted to 1.87 billion U.S. dollars in 2013, an increase of 8.65% over the same period of last year. Among them, the total import volume of 1.467 billion US dollars, an increase of 10.63%; total exports of 405 million US dollars, an increase of 2.05%. China ranks first in Brazil’s largest import market. In 2013, Brazil imported 380 million U.S. dollars of plastic products from China, accounting for 25.94% of the total, an increase of 8.74% over the same period of last year. The import volume was 95,600 tons, accounting for 34.45% of the total, up from the same period of last year
