我国浩如烟海的古代文献中有着大量有关天象、地震、旱涝、极光、虫灾等记录。如何利用这份珍贵的科学遗产更好地为社会主义建设服务是很多人长期以来关心并探索的课题,而历史自然学就是这样一门符合上述要求的学科。一、什么是历史自然学历史自然学研究人类出现以后自然界本身的历史,是介于历史学和自然科学之间的新的边缘学科。它不同于自然科学史,属于自然科学。但历史自然学和自然科学史关系密切,是相互促进的。
