甘孜藏族自治州位于四川省西部、青藏高原东南缘,地处川、滇、藏、青四省区交界处,全州行政面积15.26万平方公里,平均海拔3000米以上。甘孜州总人口116万人,每平方公里不足7人,主体民族藏族占78.4%,各族群众以大聚居、小杂居形式分布于全州。甘孜州处于边远山区,自然条件恶劣,产业基础落后,教育发展水平较低,经济发展缓慢。全州现有各级各类学校972所,在校学生177642人。
Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is located in the western Sichuan Province, the southeastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, is located in Sichuan, Yunnan, Tibet and Qinghai provinces at the junction of four, the state administrative area of 152,600 square kilometers, with an average elevation of 3,000 meters above sea level. The total population of Ganzi Prefecture is 1.16 million, less than seven people per square kilometer, with 78.4% of ethnic Tibetans being ethnic minorities distributed to the whole state in large congregations and small miscellaneous living quarters. Ganzi Prefecture is located in remote mountainous areas with poor natural conditions, backward industrial bases, low educational development level and slow economic growth. There are 972 all kinds of schools and colleges in various prefectures and 177642 students in school.
