临床背景已有明确的证据表明,丙型肝炎病毒(HCV)的感染会促进2型糖尿病的发生。HCV已被证实可增加2型糖尿病的发生风险,比值比(OR)在1.6~1.8之间。HCV增加糖尿病发生风险的程度比乙肝病毒和HIV感染都要高。成功的治疗HCV可以提高胰岛素的敏感性,但糖尿病反过来又可增加HCV感染者肝硬化及肝癌的发生
Clinical Background There is clear evidence that infection with Hepatitis C virus (HCV) contributes to the development of type 2 diabetes. HCV has been shown to increase the risk of type 2 diabetes with a odds ratio (OR) of 1.6 to 1.8. HCV increases the risk of developing diabetes more than hepatitis B virus and HIV. Successful treatment of HCV can improve insulin sensitivity, but diabetes can in turn increase the incidence of liver cirrhosis and liver cancer in HCV-infected patients
