As the coin has the advantages of long service life, low follow-up cost, easy counting and small wear and tear, the People’s Bank of China intends to increase the circulation of coins in small denominations and sets Guangzhou as a key area for promoting the use of coins. In the past, small coins were not popular with sellers and businesses. Counterfeiters making counterfeit coins are also hard to sell. Now that everyone uses coins, this opens up a bigger market for counterfeit money. In contrast, a dollar coin is more vulnerable to counterfeit currency than a dollar and a dollar note. According to the clerks at some bank outlets, when fiducials are counted for bus companies, fake one-dollar coins are often found, whereas fake one-dollar and two-dollar banknotes are scarcely seen. Seeing fake coins is also easier to enter into the deep circulation field .
