在昌宁县苟街乡金马核桃园内，从１９８８～１９９４年共７年，用野生东京山核桃作砧木，嫁接美国山核桃试验研究。研究内容：（１）嫁接成活率试验：春季不同时间嫁接；不同保湿材料；不同遮荫条件；生长素处理接口；砧木施肥；砧木不同粗度等对成活率的影响。（２）亲和力表现：树体生长情况；嫁接苗定植生长情况；开花结实情况等的调查和观测以确定亲和力好坏。最后取得嫁接成活、亲和力好、砧木对接穗没有明显影响的结果。
In Changning County Gou Jiexiang Kinmen and Matsu walnut trees, from 1988 to 1994 a total of seven years, with wild Tokyo Pecan rootstocks, grafted pecan test. Research contents: (1) Grafting survival rate test: different time in spring grafting; different moisturizing materials; different shading conditions; auxin processing interface; rootstocks fertilization; rootstocks of different roughness on the survival rate. (2) Affinity performance: the growth of the tree; the growth of the grafted seedlings; the investigation and observation of the flowering and fruiting situation to confirm the affinity. The final grafting survival, good affinity, rootstock scion did not significantly affect the results.
