《汉书·艺文志》屈原赋二十五篇,不知何所指,后人纷纷推测,很难作出结论。《史记》屈贾列传》说:“余读《离骚》《天问》《招魂》《哀郢》、悲其志。”传中又引《怀沙》。看来在司马迁的时候,确认这些作品是屈原写的(大概包括《九章》全部)。《楚辞》所收其他各篇,就很难置信了。而《远游》一篇尤其可疑,很可能是汉人的作品。篇中所言冲举不死之说,出于秦以后方术之士“悲时俗阨迫之,愿轻举而远游”,和《离骚》的宁死不忍去其国的意思是迥不相侔的,
