临湘地处湖南东北边陲,与湘鄂赣毗邻,因滨湘水与长江会合之处而得名,素称“湘北门户”。市域总面积1760平方公里,辖20个乡镇(街道办事处),总人口53万。区位优越。南距长沙、北离武汉各150公里,居长株潭城市群和武汉城市圈交汇中点,长江黄金水道依境东流;京港澳高速、杭瑞高速、107国道、京广复线以及武广高速铁路穿境而过。物产丰富。是全国有名的“鱼米之乡”、“竹木之乡”、“有色金属之乡”和“茶叶之乡”。风光
Linxiang is located in the northeastern border of Hunan Province, adjacent to Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi, named after the meeting place of Binzhou-Xiangjiang River and the Yangtze River, known as “Xiangbei Gateway”. The total area of 1760 square kilometers, administer 20 townships (neighborhood offices), the total population of 530,000. Location is superior. South of Changsha, 150 km north of Wuhan, in Changsha and Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration and the mid-point of Wuhan City Circle, the Yangtze River golden waterway eastward; Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao high-speed, Hangzhou-Rui Expressway, 107 State Road, Beijing- High-speed railway passing through.
