山东省金乡县地处鲁西南、微山湖西岸。是山东省主要农业生产县份之一。人均耕地2.0亩。土地平坦,土壤为沙壤土和红粘土。灌溉条件良好,主要种植小麦、棉花、玉米、大蒜。1972年开始繁殖甜菜种子,1984年采取露地越冬技术,至今已生产甜菜种子8000余吨,成为黑龙江省甜菜种子公司南繁的重要基地。
Jinxiang County, Shandong Province is located in southwestern Shandong, Weishan Lake West Bank. Shandong Province is one of the major agricultural production counties. Per capita arable land 2.0 acres. The land is flat and the soil is sandy loam and red clay. Irrigation conditions are good, the main planting wheat, cotton, corn, garlic. Beet seeds were planted in 1972 and overwintering techniques in 1984. To date, more than 8,000 tons of beet seeds have been produced and become an important base for Nanfan beet seed company in Heilongjiang Province.
